Hi family and friends, this is Hannah Morell reporting from Team DR! These past four days have been incredibly beautiful to say the least. Waking up for devotionals in God's creation is certainly a blessed way to start our days. Our work begins right at 8 am, where they have broken us into teams for various labor projects. By lunch time everybody is comparing their scrapes and bug bites from the four-hour stretch of building, digging, lumberjacking, and chiseling we endured. Then it's right back to work until 5 pm, when we get to enjoy a typical dinner of rice, fried meat, and a few unidentified edibles :) We get to wrap up our evenings with Young Life "club", where we spend sweet time in worship and fellowship. Last night we learned to merengue and bachata to latino musica, which left us joyful and exhausted and ready for sleep (which does not always come easily in our humid cabins). So far I think I can speak for us all when I say that our beginnings here have been adventerous and rewarding, and we can't wait for what else God has in store for us to experience!

  1. Thanks for the update! Tell my dad (Kevin) hello from me and Joel and that it is about time his Biola hat made an appearance on the blog!

Know that we are praying for all of you. Asking the Lord to send a breeze for a good night's sleep, rested and healthy bodies and for His presence to be felt in the buildings and projects that the team is working on.
